According to members, the most affected areas are Nyendo (Ssenyange Division) and Bukoto East Constituency in Masaka district among other areas.

The Democratic Party members claim that irregularities like bribing of voters, transportation of voters from other places to vote from different areas have been dominant.

Masaka District DP Chairperson Fred Denis Mukasa Mbidde admits that the electoral process has not been free and fair.

Early this month Masaka Democratic Party leaders issued a road map for the grassroots elections in Masaka with a call for unity among the worrying factions within in the party.
