Once Uganda’s celebrated television icon Straka Mwenzi commonly known as Straka Babie now struggling just earned herself a free exit from stardom when she was nabbed red-handed tip-toeing from her rented apartment in Bunamwaya on Monday 3AM morning by her landlord, Mr. Tobai Nsubuga.
Straka Mwenzi had rent arrears totally to a whooping sum of Uganda shs 5,150,000, she wouldn’t pay up, so she then decided to go old school by fleeing the rented house in the wee hours of the night. But unfortunately she was intercepted by the landlord along with her belongs and detained at Bunamwaya police post. The landlord had earlier been tipped off by her suspicious neighbors.
According to Bukedde Tobai confirms that Straka had defaulted her rent arrears for the past 8 months prompting him to seek legal aid from court brokers who asked Straka to pay her arrears in full but all in vain.
However exasperated Straka revealed to us in a phone interview that she suffered from a cardiac arrest and currently in hospital albeit refrained from revealing to us her exact location or hospital details.
“I have suffered a heart attack and if all doesn’t go well Uganda may lose me, put me in your prayers and don’t mind that wolox.” Straka revealed.
Old habits die hard. Straka’s rent blithely actions date way back. As far as 7 years. It’s noted that this struggling television personality was in 2007 evicted from her Kireka parlor just barely two months after she had disappeared from her old Kiwatule apartment where she had not paid rent arrears for close to six month. It is noted that at Kireka she had a brawl with her landlord before being locked inside her apartment and asked to complete her rent to zero balance before she could be release.
Two years later in 2009 she yet again was thrown out of her Kitende apartment located along Kampala – Entebbe highway. A time then she was supposed to be walking down the aisle with Ceasar man.
