The minister of Kampala hon Betty Kamya has directed all street vendors in Kampala to vacate the street as action is to be taken forthwith.

She says this directive is a direct response to the public outcry  is who have continuously complained about grave status of trade disorder which has culminated into traffic congestion, noise pollution, and indiscriminate parking unfair trade practices and trade competition.

She says Kampala has 1800 vendors by kCCA registered and most of them whom are not traders from within Kampala.

Today afternoon traders under their umbrella Kampala City Traders Association embarked on patrolling of the city streets to peacefully clear all vendors.
