Makerere University management has set dates for it’s 71st graduation ceremony.

The University Vice Chancellor, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe says in a tweet that the University Senate has set 10 to 14th May as the graduation dates for their graduands.

He says the University is making all necessary arrangements for a befitting ceremony amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

Makerere had earlier set 12th March as the graduation date but Nawangwe says due to unavoidable circumstances, the event had to be pushed to May.

Makerere usually holds its graduation ceremonies in January but due to covid-19 pandemic that led to closure of schools, the general education calendar was disorganized.
