The electoral commission is today set to hold fresh LC1 elections in areas where the exercise flopped yesterday.
Addressing journalists at the commission headquarters last evening, the commission chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama said the exercise was suspended in 633 villages due to various issues, the biggest being indiscipline.
He however says in areas where the voters’ registers were taken by rowdy residents like in Kisenyi, there will be no elections today.
He said the commission yesterday received 99% success in the exercise.
