The Judicial Service Commission today concludes the month long interviews for the 10 new High Court judges.

Kagole Kivumbi, the Secretary to the Commission says the commission will then take about two months to carry out post-interview processes before the final list can be forwarded to the President.

Kivumbi adds that that the recruitment process that saw 59 applicants interviewed will end by June this year.

The applicants most of whom are lawyers in private practice include 18 High Court Registrars, 29 lawyers from private legal practice and 12 lawyers from public offices.

Currently, there about 50 judges of the high court and yet the approved structure is 81.
The recruitment of 10 more judges, will only increase the current number to 60.
