The High Court in Kampala has set Friday, December 23rd to decide whether the two people accused of murdering ASP Muhammad Kirumira have a case to answer.

The ruling was expected to be delivered on Wednesday, December 21 by Justice Margaret Mutonyi but she was reportedly indisposed.

Now Abubaker Kalungi, a key suspect in the murder of ASP Muhammad Kirumira and Resty Nalinya Mbabazi and his co-accused Hamza Mwebe have further been remanded to Luzira prison until Friday.

47-year-old Kalungi a carpenter and a resident of Kibutika Ndejje in Makindye Sabagabo and Hamza Mwebe are said to have gunned down Kirumira and Nalinya on September 8, 2018 at about 8 pm in Bulenga.

Kirumira and Nalinya were then rushed to Lubaga and Mulago hospitals respectively from where they were pronounced dead.
