By Damali Mukhaye.

The citizen coalition for electoral democracy in Uganda has resolved to petition the electoral commission for banning them from observing any elections until further notice.

Speaking during the CCEDU membership meeting at their offices, the coordinator of the coalition Crispy kaheru says that the ban doesn’t specify the period, worrying that they will not be able to observe the forth coming elections in new districts.

He says that they want the electoral commission to come out and explain further about the ban since its illegal and denies Ugandans their right of voter education.

He says that they want Parliament and court to come into these issues since they have been working in favor of citizens who cannot independently observe their elections
