49 NUP supporters have been arraigned before the General Court Martial sitting in Makindye and charged with being in possession of 4 rounds of ammunition.

Those who include Eddy Mutwe have appeared before 7 members chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti and denied the offense.

These including women have been remanded until January 19th when they will re-appear for mention of the case.

The prosecution states that the 49 people on January 3rd,  at Makerere Kavule Kiggundu zone, were found in possession of 4rounds of ammunition which is a monopoly of the Defense Forces.

Meanwhile, journalists and lawyers are denied access to court premises.
