{"id":74956,"date":"2024-06-19T10:43:43","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T07:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kfm.co.ug\/?p=74956"},"modified":"2024-06-19T11:27:34","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T08:27:34","slug":"meeting-between-president-museveni-and-traders-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kfm.dembefm.ug\/staging_h\/meeting-between-president-museveni-and-traders-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting between President Museveni and traders postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Winfred Watenya<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The meeting between President Museveni and city traders which was scheduled to take place on June 20<sup>th<\/sup>, 2024 has been postponed.<\/p>\n<p>This was revealed by the leaders of traders following a meeting with the President held at State House, Entebbe yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairperson of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA), Dr. Thadeus Musoke and John Kabanda, the Chairman of the Federation of Uganda\u2019s Traders Associations (FUTA) said in a joint statement that they have agreed with President Museveni to reschedule the meeting that was meant to take place this Thursday at Kololo Ceremonial grounds to July 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press statement issued by State House, the postponement is also to allow both sides do thorough research on the subject matter, so that they come up with a final resolution to end a long standing dispute over Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)\u2019s Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution (EFRIS).<\/p>\n<p>This was meant to be a follow-up meeting.
