The over 700 foot pilgrims trekking from Nebbi District are expected to reach Bweyale this evening.<\/p>\n
The pilgrims that set off on Wednesday for Namugongo martyrs\u2019 shrine, they spent the night at Karuma from where they continued with their journey this morning and are expected to spend their night at Bweyale Town.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson Organising Committee Nebbi Catholic dioceses, Fr. Emmanuel Ocokuru tells KFM that the pilgrims\u2019 journey is so far progressing despite few challenges.<\/p>\n
Father Ocokuru adds that having walked a long distance on their first day, the pilgrims have resorted to covering shorter a distances of 20-30KM a day until they reach Namugongo in Wakiso District for the June 3rd<\/sup> Martyrs Day celebrations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe pilgrims left Karuma this morning and they are heading to Katulikire hopefully they will reach katulikire \u00a0this evening just few kilometres to Bweyale the journey \u00a0is so far okay.\u2019\u2019 Mr. Ocokuru said.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s Martyrs\u2019 Day celebrations at the Namugongo Catholic shrine will be led by Nebbi Catholic Diocese.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The over 700 foot pilgrims trekking from Nebbi District are expected to reach Bweyale this evening.
