\u00a0 <\/strong>Nutrition experts have noted that although Uganda has made great strides regarding economic growth and poverty reduction, progress in reducing malnutrition has remained a critical challenge.<\/p>\n

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), country representative to Uganda Munira Safieldin says chronic undernutrition remains a critical challenge, with approximately one in four children under five years suffering from stunting.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the quality of diets for children under two years remains a pressing concern, adding that addressing malnutrition requires a holistic approach that integrates health, agriculture, water, education, gender, and other relevant domains.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019 We can maximize our impact and advance towards our shared goal of optimum for all.\u2019\u2019 Mr. \u00a0Munira said.<\/p>\n

He made the remarks, at the ongoing week-long nutrition forum jointly organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and UNICEF, running under the theme: \u201cUnlocking nutrition\u2019s potential: accelerating multispectral action and strategic investments for enhanced nutrition security<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n
