Two bodies of the foreign <\/span>tourists, who were killed last month in <\/span>Queen Elizabeth National Park, have <\/span>been repatriated to the United Kingdom, <\/span>the police have revealed.<\/span><\/p>\n

On October 17, suspected Allied Dem<\/span>ocratic Forces (ADF) terrorists shot and <\/span>killed two foreign tourists in the park <\/span>at Nyamunuka on Katwe Road in Kas<\/span>ese District in Western Uganda while on <\/span>their honeymoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deceased were identified as David <\/span>Jim Barlow, 50, a British citizen, and Em<\/span>maretia Celia Geyer, 51, a South African <\/span>citizen. Eric Alyai, a Ugandan, was their <\/span>driver, and was already buried in Kaber<\/span>amaido District.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll this while, we have been working <\/span>with the forensic and investigative ex<\/span>perts from the UK and up to Novem<\/span>ber 1, we managed to hand over the two <\/span>bodies of the deceased tourists which <\/span>were repatriated to the UK for further <\/span>management,\u201d Mr Enanga told journal<\/span>ists yesterday in Kampala.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Enanga explained that all the le<\/span>gal formalities and findings in Uganda, the lines of inquiry, the timelines of events aligned with GPS, phone evidence and other recordings were shared and availed to their counterparts in the UK. A full postmortem report was handed over to the UK team too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Police promised that the truth behind these attacks would come out and even the perpetrators be brought to book.<\/p>\n
