{"id":55057,"date":"2022-04-04T10:49:40","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T07:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kfm.co.ug\/?p=55057"},"modified":"2022-04-04T10:49:40","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T07:49:40","slug":"leaders-asked-to-emulate-owiny-dollo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kfm.dembefm.ug\/staging_h\/leaders-asked-to-emulate-owiny-dollo\/","title":{"rendered":"Leaders asked to emulate Owiny Dollo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ritah Kemigisa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uganda leaders have been asked to emulate the humility of Chief Justice Owiny Dollo.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Dollo apologized and paid a courtesy visit to Bulange Mengo, in a gesture intended to mend fences following his remarks that the king was airlifted for treatment in Germany in a presidential jet.<\/p>\n<p>The comments made by Dollo during a vigil for Jacob Oulanyah, the deceased speaker of the 11th Parliament, have since sparked a huge debate among Ugandans with many saying he should resign for promoting tribal sentiments.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to KFM, former UPC party president, Olara Otunnu says other leaders should pick a leaf from the act saying apologizing when you make a mistake is not a sign of weakness.<\/p>\n<p>Otunnu says with such acts and truth telling it is possible to have a united Uganda and can open room for negotiation in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ritah Kemigisa Uganda leaders have been asked to emulate the humility of Chief Justice Owiny Dollo.
