Security experts have downplayed a proposal for the government to negotiate with the Allied Democratic Forces rebels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bugiri municipality MP Asuman Basalirwa, proposed this before parliament last week saying this was the\u00a0best way to address the matter since the group\u2019s motive for attacking Uganda is still unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was after government maintained that the ADF are behind the bombings in Kampala and other parts of the country, despite Islamic State claiming responsibility for the attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

However Fred Egesa, a security expert and private Investigator has downplayed the proposal saying negotiating with a group that is not ambitious is not a wise move, because ADF does not clearly state its demands and that it also attacks other countries besides Uganda.<\/span><\/p>\n

He advises government to only simplify life for those arrested for terrorism, to inspire others to surrender, criticising government for killing suspects.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
