The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is warning against nationalist approaches to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Guterres says all countries have suffered during the pandemic, but nationalist approaches are a road to ruin when it comes to vaccines, sustainability & climate action.<\/p>\n

He says the next six months will show whether global solidarity extends beyond words to meaningful action.<\/p>\n

The UN chief notes that since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a lot of talk about global solidarity, but unfortunately, words by themselves will not end the pandemic \u2013 or curb the impact of the crisis.<\/p>\n
