The leadership of the police Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) has revealed that its\u00a0officers are\u00a0not experienced enough to effectively investigate graft.<\/p>\n
The revelation has been made by the acting Deputy CID Julius Twinomujuni on the sidelines of the launch of the Fourth National Integrity Survey Report, 2019 (NIS-IV) by the Inspectorate of Government.<\/p>\n
Twinomujuni says litigation against corruption requires admissible forensic evidence for which most of their officers need more training.<\/p>\n
He has called for capacity building meetings for the police force the anti-corruption agencies like the Office of the Auditor General and the State House Anti-corruption Unit.<\/p>\n
