The debt arises from costs of an election petition appeal\u00a0he lost against NRM\u2019s leader Sitenda Sebalu.<\/p>\n<p>Kantinti&#8217;s committal today comes after the former\u00a0FDC youth legislator spent\u00a0ten days at Luzira prison over a 300 million shilling loan acquired from Standard chartered Bank in June 2016 to enable him participate in a by-election to fill the Kyadondo East parliamentary slot that the High court had declared vacant.<\/p>\n<p>Kantinti had promised to pay the\u00a0Bank within 50 months but unfortunately he lost the by-election to Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, hence prompting the Bank to use the High court&#8217;s Execution division to recover the money.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ruth Anderah.
