{"id":4079,"date":"2012-09-25T10:30:11","date_gmt":"2012-09-25T07:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kfm.co.ug\/?p=4079"},"modified":"2012-09-25T10:30:11","modified_gmt":"2012-09-25T07:30:11","slug":"kazinda-summoned-by-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kfm.dembefm.ug\/staging_h\/kazinda-summoned-by-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Kazinda summoned by Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kfm.co.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kazinda-cropped1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4080\" title=\"Kazinda-cropped\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kfm.co.ug\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kazinda-cropped1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Anti-Corruption Court has issued criminal summons against Interdicted Principal<br \/>\nAccountant in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Geoffrey Kazinda.<\/p>\n<p>This is after he failed to appear in court this morning for mention of his case.<\/p>\n<p>His lawyer Augustine Idooti said he is on bed rest, recommended by Case Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Kazinda together with three others were charged with embezzlement, false accounting,<br \/>\nforgery, conspiracy to commit a felony and causing financial loss amounting to<br \/>\nShs 316.8m.<\/p>\n<p>The state attorney Jane Francis Abodo informed court that investigations into the<br \/>\nmatter are complete.<\/p>\n<p>Grade one magistrate in the Anti-Corruption Court Emmanuel Baguma has summoned<br \/>\nKazinda to appear in court on 8<sup>th<\/sup> November for hearing of the case to begin.<\/p>\n<p>Kazinda and his three co-accused persons denied the 29 counts.<\/p>\n<p>His co-accused are John Martin Owor, the commissioner for relief, disaster preparedness and management in the same office, Beatrice Kezabu , assistant resettlement officer in the Premier\u2019s office and Hussein Katumwa, the manager of Total Ntinda service station.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecution alleges that all the suspects between June and July 2010 misappropriated the<br \/>\nmoney in question, meant for procuring relief food for disaster victims in various districts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Anti-Corruption Court has issued criminal summons against Interdicted Principal Accountant in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Geoffrey Kazinda.
