{"id":35275,"date":"2018-05-31T09:07:45","date_gmt":"2018-05-31T09:07:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kfm.co.ug\/?p=35275"},"modified":"2018-05-31T09:14:33","modified_gmt":"2018-05-31T09:14:33","slug":"4-year-old-boy-sues-hospital-over-unsuccessful-circumcision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kfm.dembefm.ug\/staging_h\/4-year-old-boy-sues-hospital-over-unsuccessful-circumcision\/","title":{"rendered":"4 year old boy sues hospital over unsuccessful circumcision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Ruth Anderah<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A 14 year old boy has sued a health body; infectious Diseases\u00a0institute Ltd for trespassing on his body by allegedly circumcising him without his consent.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno\u00a0 Angel is a pupil of Home care primary school in Kakumiro &#8211; Mubende District \u00a0and accuses\u00a0 doctors\u00a0 from the infectious Diseases Institute of\u00a0 coming to his school\u00a0 in June\u00a0 last year\u00a0 and lured\u00a0 him into circumcision but failed to treat his wound which later turned septic.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno who is suing through his guardian Enoch Turinawe contends that the Doctors stopped him\u00a0from telling his parents about the circumcision something that prevented him from getting the necessary health care.<\/p>\n<p>He claims\u00a0that due to\u00a0severe bleeding from the wound, his penis and\u00a0testicles swell\u00a0thereby causing him discomfort in movement until his parents noticed the worsening condition and sought treatment in a private hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno and Turinawe have now petitioned the High court seeking its orders to compel the Infectious Diseases Institute pay him damages for forceful circumcision and causing him mental trauma.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ruth Anderah.\u00a0 A 14 year old boy has sued a health body; infectious Diseases\u00a0institute Ltd for trespassing on his body by allegedly circumcising him without his consent.
