Gen. KahindaOtafiire came second with 17269 votes, which accounts for 37.7% of the total votes cast.<\/p>\n<p>Otafire has been the area MP since 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Anxiety and pressure from supporters of Capt. Kahonda forced the District Registrar Elisha Kahaika to declare the winner even before all the results had not been tallied.<\/p>\n<p>Capt. Kahonda\u2019s supporters then burst into wild cheers after he was declared.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the declaration, Capt.
