The state witness in a case against former FDC party president Dr. Kizza Besigye has withdrawn from the case.
\nDonatus Eguma cites intimidation by government agents to pin the accused persons against his conscience.
\nDr Besigye is jointly charged with Kampala lord mayor Elias Lukwago, mayor Kawempe division, Mubarak Munyagwa and FDC Women leader Ingrid Turinawe among others.
\nThey are said to have incited the public in 2012 at Kabale stadium to stone four policemen and four police cars.
\nEguma told the press outside the Kabale Chief Magistrates court today that he chose to keep out of the case for his safety.
\nIn is submission, the resident state attorney Batson Baguma said that he is ready to proceed with other witnesses who were ready to testify.
\nHowever defence lawyer Jonathan Bwagi asked for more time to study the case after the passing on of the official lawyer Wilfred Murumba.
