International Criminal Court Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has asked for more time to prepare for the former LRA commander Dominic Ongwen\u2019s case.
\nThe prosecutor made the revelation during a meeting with the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga this morning.
\nWhile the trial of Dominic Ongwen has been set for August, Bensouda says she has requested for some more time from the Judges to allow the prosecution and defence prepare better.
\nThe speaker has welcomed her and pledged parliament\u2019s continued commitment to support the court.
\nThe prosecutor is now meeting Legislators from the affected areas in Northern Uganda.
\nThe ICC set 24th August as date for provisional hearing to determine whether there are sufficient grounds to confirm charges against Ongwen.<\/p>\n
